Guests generally enjoy The Barn's beautiful location, spaciousness, and hot tub, making it suitable for large groups and family gatherings. The property's proximity to local walks, pubs, and towns like Ashbourne and Bakewell adds to its appeal. While some guests mention issues with garden security for pets and minor maintenance needs, the overall experience is positive, with many expressing a desire to return.
The Barn's cleanliness receives mixed feedback. Some guests found it to be less clean than expected with reports of dust, cobwebs, and remnants from previous stays. However, not all reviews mention cleanliness issues, indicating that experiences may vary.
The location is highly praised for its beauty and convenience, with easy access to local walks, pubs, and nearby towns. The serene setting and wonderful views contribute to a peaceful and relaxing stay.
Comfort is well-regarded, with guests finding the property spacious and cosy, especially with the wood burner and hot tub. Some bedrooms are noted as snug, but overall, the accommodation is considered comfortable for large groups.
Facilities like the hot tub are appreciated, but there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as unfinished touches and the need for garden security improvements. The kitchen's quirky layout and modern equipment complexity are noted, but these do not significantly detract from the overall experience.
While guests mention welcome touches and the property being nicely decorated for Christmas, there is no specific mention of gifts. Therefore, it is not possible to accurately assess the thoughtfulness in terms of gifts, and this score is set to null.

In desperate need of a good clean - upstairs bedroom smelt of cigarette smoke, cobwebs in the kitchen and living area, dust on the crockery and glasses and confetti from previous parties in the rugs and on the dining table. The hot tub wasn't on when we arrived so couldn't be used on the first night. Every room had recently filled holes in the walls that hadn't been sanded down and the whole place needs decorating. Really poor.

Perfect for a lovely family weekend, the communication was great and we enjoyed our stay. Only issue was bins were completely full outside so we had no where to put rubbish or recycling

The barn was a lovely stay. The home was in a beautiful location with walks right from the home and close distance to bakewell and Ashbourne. The only downfall was the garden was not secure for the dogs as the wall was to low my dog managed to jump and run up the lane. The hot tub was lovely no issues. We did have an issue with the electric car charger but the owners were amazing at sorting it quickly. We definitely would stay again.
