This charming holiday cottage sits alongside Cromford Mill Pond and the centre of this historic village. From inside or out you can relax and watch the wild fowl cruise the pond. The pond was used to feed the Arkwright Mill and the wheel is still turning. An ideal location with excellent walks nearby leading to Black Rocks, High Peak Trail, Cromford Mills and canal. Carsington Water with watersports and birdwatching is within easy reach. Matlock Bath only 1 mile and Abraham Heights and Gullivers Kingdom. Matlock for antiques and shops is 2 miles. Visit the old market town of Bakewell and sample the famous Bakewell pudding in one of the many tea rooms. Just a few miles from here is Chatsworth House and medieval Haddon Hall. Shop and pub 50 yards, restaurant 100 yards.

Wonderful little cottage in a great location close to the amenities and lovely pub. Great base to explore the area. Warm, cosy and comfortable with everything you need. A real home from home cottage to come back to after a day out. Great communication and information from the owner. Highly recommend and if in the area would stay here again.

Great location, lots of places to visit.The cottage was suitable and okay, given the weather conditions.We did have issues with the shower but the bath was fine. We loved the fire in the living area. and the bottle of prosecco and mince pies were perfect for the evening. Would recommend

Beautiful cottage, great for exploring the Peak Dale's. Wetton Mill, Chatsworth House. Food in area pubs great especially the Fish Pond in Matlock . The Boat Inn round corner Steak gorgeous. Relaxing place lots of lovely walks . We had problem with heating John came round within 5 mins and it was fixed. We will be back when warmer weather .
