Guests say

Rose Cottage is a charming and cosy retreat in the heart of Cromford, praised for its excellent location near local pubs, shops, and scenic walks. Guests consistently highlight its cleanliness, modern decor, and comfortable furnishings. While the cottage is well-equipped, some guests noted minor issues with kitchen supplies and the garden's suitability for dogs. A few found the check-in process and directions challenging, but overall, visitors enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing stay, making it a great base for exploring the Derbyshire Dales.

Most guests found the cottage very clean and tidy, with only occasional mentions of dog hair or a dirty oven. The overall impression is of a well-maintained and spotless property.

The location is frequently described as perfect, central, and ideal for exploring Cromford and the surrounding Peak District, with amenities and walks on the doorstep.

Guests found the cottage cosy, warm, and comfortable, with good quality bedding and a strong shower. Some accessibility concerns were raised regarding steep steps, but overall comfort is highly rated.

The cottage is generally well-equipped, but several guests mentioned missing or inadequate kitchen items, lack of drying racks, and minor maintenance issues. The garden is not ideal for dogs, and parking can be tricky.

While the property is thoughtfully decorated and welcoming, guests noted the absence of a welcome pack and some basic supplies. Gifts are not mentioned, and amenities like bin liners and sponges were sometimes missing.

A beautiful cottage in a great location for exploring the area. A couple of improvements could be made as it's very hard to find using the directions given, in the end the lady in the post office came out and showed us where it is which she's obviously done before. Basically it's before you reach the pub just past the wine bar. Also it's near Cooper's cottage no 2 Scarthin is not shown on the door. A sign on the gate would alleviate the problem. Also why put the key box around the corner and not by the door? Also had to call for the key code as it wasn't sent on the day. Keycodes are usually sent at least a week before why wait until the day? Aside from that we had a lovely few days in the area.

Generally very comfortable. I did not receive the code for the key lock box in good time and had to wait. But it was perfectly nice once inside
