We stayed at The Counting House for 5 days and really enjoyed our time there. This is a beautifully restored historic building and is equipped with everything you need. It is situated in the centre of Wirksworth which is a lovely market town close to the Peak District National Park. There are lots of independent shops, restaurants and pubs within easy walking distance and, although the property doesn’t offer private parking, there are plenty of options close by. There is also a host of attractions within easy distance, either driving or by bus, plus lots of walking in the nearby Dales. We found lots of useful information about this in the house.

We are frequent visitors to The Counting House because it is fabulous! Wirksworth has a great deal to offer too - good places to eat and drink, nearby walks in the White Peak, easily drivable to the Dark Peak. And after the energetic walks, a comfortable, beautiful place to come back to. What more could you ask!?
