Under Willows (ref UK12608) is a beautiful shepherd’s hut, ideal for couples looking for a luxury glamping experience. This unique accommodation comprises an open plan kitchen, dining and living room area with all the amenities you need for a relaxing stay. There is also a separate double bedroom and a full sized shower room. The owners have made both the inside and outside area stylish and perfect for a peaceful getaway in beautiful surroundings. It also boasts a relaxing hot tub, a chiminea to keep you cosy on those chillier evenings, and a lovely hammock from where you can count the stars.
Hare’s Furrow and Under Willow are set between the market town of Market Harborough, with its array of independent and high street shops, cafés and restaurants, and the city of Leicester, 8 miles, which offers a great shopping experience and is home to Leicester FC, Leicester Racecourse and the King Richard III Visitor Centre. The village of Foxton is 8 miles away and home to the famous flight of ten locks on the Grand Union Canal, named Foxton Locks, and being over 200 years old, are now Grade II listed. You can also enjoy a visit to the historic boiler house or take a boat trip along the canal. Also worth visiting is the National Space Centre at Abbey Meadows, 10 miles away.
About 20 miles away you will find Rutland Water, a large manmade reservoir that provides entertainment for all the family, including a number of water sport activities, bird watching, walking and cycling tracks. The market towns of Oakham and Uppingham in Rutland are also lovely towns to visit. There are many National Trust properties within 20 miles including Lyveden, Priest’s House at Easton on the Hill, Ulverscroft Nature Reserve and Stoneywell. We stayed last week for a family getaway the weather wasn’t fantastic but the overall facilities were. Couple of things could do with changing bigger shower enclosures & larger fridge along with a fully covered seating area. But overall excellent the owners were brilliant as well we would stay again

Lovely accommodation, the hosts had made a cake for us which was lovely for when we arrived . Also the hosts were happy to chop some wood for us so we could use the fire pit outside. Hot tub very clean and nice with lights. Would have been excellent all round but one of the taps was not working in the bath tub upstairs and some of fittings need changing for the bathrooms as they had quite a bit of wear and tear (down stairs shower handle and bathroom door). Overall thou and excellent place to stay, would recommend, the host Mark was very helpful and accommodating.

Great location. Would recommend Market Harborough and Foxton Locks as places to visit. Excellent on paper to have four en-suite bedrooms and another tick for zip and link beds. Plus point for Molton Brown toiletries. Miele washing machine and dryer - useful but we were only there for a weekend. Fire pit and logs were thoughtful touch. Nice coffee machine too. Ample crockery, cutlery and glasses. Dishwasher tablets, teabags, coffee, cling film and foil and loo rolls were supplied. Lemon cake also as a welcome gift. The bedrooms are a reasonable size, bedding was clean. However…small things let it all down, which was a real shame. No hand towels in any bathrooms. Only in the cloakroom. No drawers or wardrobes but a row of six hooks and six coat hangers per room. Dire. We had to leave most stuff in suitcases. We were only there three nights so managed.One en-suite had a broken toilet seat (kept slipping when sat on), one had a rain shower but the optional smaller shower head was missing. Small cubicle so your hair always got wet. In another bathroom both shower heads were there but both worked simultaneously. You couldn’t turn one off.Some mattresses were soft and slanting to the point it felt as though you might roll out. No whisk, not enough saucepans, broken corkscrew. Small fridge with no door storage as it was broken off. Fridge also didn’t seem cold enough. Hot tub was warm, water was clean but the actual tub looked a bit grubby in places. - no additional towels for it either. Our 20th holiday together as a group of six friends now in our 60s. As it was an anniversary we had high hopes, however this property just missed the mark for us.
