The Old Dairy is well equipped as a base for couples to explore this region. It's automated velux windows helping to keep a cool breeze on a warm summer week. There were essentials provided to settle in and enjoy a cup of tea.A twenty minute walk will take you to the Tap and Run for a great meal, and a pint of Vixen. A ten minute drive to the Hammer and Pincers for fine dining. For walks along the canal, drive less than 3 miles to the Old Warf tearoom in Hickling. We visited Belvoir Castle, Hardwick Hall, Barnsdale Gardens and a few windmills. There are plenty of walks and good food in this region. The cottage is very clean, with a good shower. The owners were very welcoming. Well worth a visit.
