Alford is a charming market town in Lincolnshire. It is set at the foot of the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty about 11 miles north-west of Skegness. There is a wide range of shops including a grocers and two butchers as well as a large shop which specialises in doll’s houses and their contents. Alford has become an important centre for arts and crafts with many markets held throughout the year. The main market is held in the Market Place every Tuesday and Friday with the craft market being held every August as well as Christmas markets every year. Alford is known for its Grade 1 listed working windmill, which is used commercially to produce stone-ground organic flour. Alford Manor House is a central point in the town, with its exhibitions and museum as well as a tea room and open gardens.

The shower was fantastic with excellent water pressure, the beds comfortable and the whole place was cozy and warm. The garden was fenced and secure for our crazy Springer, the circular walk from the door was a bonus, highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay it's a lovely setting surrounded by countryside very quiet and lots of space the cottage is very clean and well presented and well equipped again lots of space and a very large shower room designed for all mobility requirements We thank dawn and Keith who were lovely and friendly and great hosts thanks We would highly recommend that you try westerby lodge
