Enjoying a lovely position overlooking the Fossdyke near the centre of Lincoln, Canal Stories offers a beautiful residence for a city break for a group of seven. Set over three storeys and hosting an attractive interior, this waterside property is a hidden gem in Lincoln. Park up in the two designated parking spaces and arrive at your destination, entering into the open-plan living space on the ground floor; in the centre of the room is the excellent kitchen, a social space to enjoy when cooking for the group, you can watch the chef from the dining area with a glass of wine, or get settled on the sofa with the TV on the wall to entertain.

Step out into the enclosed garden where a lawn and patio await on sunny days with furniture to relax on. Spend an evening amidst your loved ones in the first-floor sitting room where a Juliet balcony overlooks the pretty canal, and another TV is mounted on the wall, surrounded by delightful decor. Upstairs on the second floor are the three bedrooms, including two doubles and a single, as well as the shared bathroom, all furnished with excellent furniture and pretty decor. Lincoln is home to a wealth of culture and history so there are plenty of things to do; the magnificent Lincoln Cathedral, once the tallest building in the world, is a must-visit with tours operating to show you around this truly imposing structure.

The Lincoln Castle is another popular attraction, where you can follow a Medieval Wall Walk and visit fascinating Victorian and Georgian prisons, as well as see a copy of the Magna Carta and the Charter of the Forest from 1215, wonderfully preserved and considered to be the foundations of democracy as we know it today. The Fossdyke lies just outside Canal Stories and offers a wonderful way to explore, you can follow the Fossdyke Canal Trail which runs along this Roman built canal, joining the tidal River Trent to Lincoln's High Bridge. The Woodside Wildlife Park lies just outside Lincoln and is a fantastic day out for both adults and children alike, it is home to a wide array of animals including tigers, penguins, red pandas, crocodiles and even sloths!

Further east is the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Natural Beauty which is home to some gorgeous and unspoilt scenery with charming villages, rolling hills and hidden valleys to explore. Brayford Waterfront offers a wide range of eating, drinking and entertainment venues around one of the city's most picturesque areas, and the quirky uphill Cathedral Quarter and the bustling Bailgate also have a superb choice of restaurants, cafes and bistros as well as individual shops. Canal Stories is a fantastic base for a family holiday to Lincoln.
