We really enjoyed our stay at Buttercup Lodge. We did have reservations about the log fired hot tub but once we'd got it up to temperature it worked well for us.Little touches were appreciated - fab real coffee maker, tub towels, fluffy bath sheets, Christmas decorations (which we think were put up for us - one of our party is Christmas personified!!), lovely local produce etc. Thank you.

Great lodge really clean and accessible for wheelchair user It’s a rural location so you need a car and the nearest shop/pub is 5 miles away .Sue the host was brilliant providing just about everything from dishwasher tablets to bin bags and toiletries. There is a fold down seat in wet room which was so essential for our party and hand rails making life easier. Heating was excellent with individual thermometers in each room to alter as necessary. We took food to eat on first night until we got our bearings. Plenty of space for two cars to park and log burner hot tub was novel. Set it on fire in the morning ready to use later afternoon. Plastic mats near hot tub for walking with wet feet were very useful.Sue was kind and so helpful bringing in extra height chair for one of our party. Nothing was too much trouble. The patio set front and rear was great for sitting as sun moved round plus walk to pond is accessible. The lodge overlooks countryside with lovely full length doors/windows to watch birds and pheasants (binoculars even provided). This is a lodge which is so warm and welcoming we really want to return and can’t recommend it enough particularly for people with mobility issues

Lodge was lovely and warm when we arrived on a winter day and the hot tub was ready to get in which we really appreciated! Also had lovely touches of milk, cheese and sweet treats. The lodge was really well laid out with everything you could ask for. Every detail had been thought of.Thank you, I would definitely look to visit again in the future
