Lincoln is approximately 30 minutes’ drive away, with its cathedral and castle, just two of the many attractions on offer for all the family. To the east are the sandy beaches of the traditional seaside resorts of Skegness and Mablethorpe, and the market towns of Horncastle and Louth are also just a short drive away. There are excellent walks and cycle routes available straight from the door, and the property has a lockable bike store available. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

The house is stunning the enclosed. Garden is huge and well kept however it is a shame the pond at the bottom is all open if your dogs like to swim it’s worth being mindful of I’m lucky my 2 hate the water.It does state the lodge is pet friendly however after communication with the owners the dogs are only allowed in the main living area not upstairs or on any furniture so if you have dogs who like to sleep on bed with you this place is not for you.would I return?no I probably wouldn’t personally I just felt it wasn’t fair on my dogs to be confined to the main living area

Stayed for a long weekend at Lily Pad Lodge. Peaceful, beautifully decorated and the hot tub was welcome - even in the rain. Two big bedrooms, both ensuite, were perfect for two friends sharing. It is isolated, but that gives you the peace. 30 mins into Lincoln and about 40 mins to the coast.
