A former shepherd's cottage situated on the outskirts of a small village in the Lincolnshire Wolds. Picturesque, romantic and full of period charm, this lovely property sleeps up to 4 people plus cot.

At the heart of the house sits a delightful character sitting/dining room replete with beamed ceilings and traditional iron range and open fire. (Please bring your own smokeless fuel if you wish to cook on the range!)

High French windows lead from the farmhouse kitchen & breakfast area out onto the patio and give wonderful views over rolling countryside. There is also a downstairs cloakroom/W.C.

Upstairs you will find the master bedroom with 5 foot double bed and ensuite shower room. There is also a small cot room adjacent to the master bedroom. The 2nd bedroom has twin beds and ensuite bathroom.

Outside there is fully enclosed garden with south facing terrace. On the wider Estate you can also arrange for seasonal trout fishing and the use of the owner's tennis court.

The Wolds are one of the country’s ‘best kept secrets’ - still relatively undiscovered. This lush and gentle landscape is one of rolling hills, quiet country lanes, small villages and attractive market towns. Great for walkers and cyclists, there are plenty of trails and paths to discover.

The Georgian towns of Caistor (6.8 miles) and Louth (12.8) are within easy reach, as is the beautiful cathedral city of Lincoln (28 miles). The picturesque town of Market Rasen, justifiably famous for its racecourse is worth a visit in its own right.

Nature lovers should make time for a visit to the salt marsh and sands of the Lincolnshire coast - a haven for wildlife. There are many quiet rural beaches within easy reach - sandy, open expanses framed by dunes. Don’t miss Gibraltar Point, Saltfleetby, Crook Bank, and Moggs Eye.

If you are looking for family fun and traditional seaside entertainment, then the bustle and buzz of Cleethorpes, Mablethorpe and Skegness are great destinations. Alongside award winning beaches there are plenty of sea front rides and attractions for all the family.
