About this property

Step back in time with a luxury retreat in this stunning Grade II listed Manor House dating back to the 12th Century. Lovingly renovated, this period property is perfect for a celebration or large gathering of up to seventeen guests, merging classic architecture and design with modern entertainment from a karaoke bar to a sauna and hot tub, plus with an acre of grounds all to themselves, guests can spread out and relax in this tranquil, private location.

A sweeping entrance from the gravel driveway welcomes you into your Manor House home. Step through the double doors into a grand dining room with an eighteen-seater table and floor-to-ceiling windows which allow you to enjoy a lively evening meal basking in the early evening light.

Newly renovated for 2023, the impressive kitchen has a large central island and attractive brick wall features and comes complete with a whole host of modern appliances to help you prepare meals in style, including three ovens, a waffle maker, an air-fryer and a pod coffee machine.

Head down to the games area with a bar table and stools, arcade machines, a full music system and even a karaoke machine to belt out your favourite hits in the privacy of your own home!

After the party the night before, you can unwind and detox in the property’s private sauna or hit the bubbles of the hot tub for a relaxing soak in the sunshine.

With a number of living spaces to come together, guests are spoilt for choice, from reclining on sofas with a cocktail to gathering at the grand piano for a sing-along. This is a house designed for socialising and will guarantee every evening is full of fun and laughter.

Sleeping accommodation is spread over two upper floors. The first floor East Wing has a lovely double bedroom with en-suite and a further single room, whilst the West Wing holds two double bedrooms with en-suite showers and two additional double bedrooms, one with a double and one with a single bed, that share a fantastic family bathroom.

Older kids will love the second floor, which comes with its own lounge area to make their own. Here you will find a further double room and second bedroom with three single beds plus an additional bathroom.

Outside, the garden boasts a whole acre of manicured lawns, mature trees and pretty flowers. Take a stroll and enjoy the views of the local farmland or roam further out of the grounds to explore the local rivers and lakes, a great spot for a picnic.

Located within a convenient distance of the amenities in Milton Keynes, this traditional property benefits from a peaceful and tranquil location, making it the perfect base for a grand holiday with a difference, one not to forget!

Venture out of your luxury holiday home, and you will find you are in easy reach of a number of great tourist spots. London is a short train ride away, Oxford just over an hour’s drive and close by Milton Keynes itself is full of entertainment.

History fans should head to Bletchley Park, the former home to World War Two codebreakers. The historic building now hosts a number of permanent and temporary exhibitions using interactive storytelling and educational tools to explain the extraordinary work that went on in the very building that helped win the war. If you are hungry for more, why not head to The National Museum of Computing within the grounds to explore the journey of the first computers to the present day?

Snozone in Milton Keynes is Europe’s largest indoor snow arena and is a must for those looking for a different active day out. With indoor slopes, skiers and snowboarders of all abilities can hit the snow and try their hand out at the alpine sport without having to catch a flight to the mountains!

Keeping up the active angle, a trip to the Big Rock Hub is a must for keen climbers, with multiple climbing walls available catering to all ages, including an impressive freestanding boulder.

Take a day trip to Oxford and explore its stunning range of university buildings, which are open to visitors to explore. Catch an Evensong at a chapel, or take a punt on the river, hire a boat yourself or be transported by one of the local students. There is a fantastic shopping centre for a little retail therapy, or you can visit Oxford Castle to enjoy a beautiful view from the top or explore the spooky prison at the depths.

Fans of Philip Pullman’s “His Dark Materials” trilogy will want to seek out the Trout Inn, a lovely riverside pub serving delicious food and local ales that were featured in the books themselves. A great place to stop off for a well-deserved pint after a long walk.
