Corkhill Cottages enjoy a peaceful and tranquil setting overlooking nearby Southwell in rolling countryside perfect for those wanting to relax and recharge away from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life.
The numerous footpaths and local Southwell trail offer plenty of opportunity to explore the area, popular with walkers and cyclists. There are a variety of attractions on our doorstep to enjoy during your stay. Southwell is walking distance or (should you be laden with shopping bags from the independent shops) a short drive. Take advantage of the independent shops, bakeries, deli, cafes, local farm shops and regular market; they are hard to resist.
Undoubtedly the magnificent Southwell Minster should be visited, the Cathedral of Nottinghamshire and a real showstopper of Southwell.
The owners are happy to recommend friendly local pubs, they insist on regularly sampling them themselves, as well as a variety of restaurants, take away and supermarkets for cosy nights in. You are lucky to have several local food producers close by, take advantage of the fresh quality produces for a real taste of Nottinghamshire. Towns of Newark on Trent, Nottingham and Lincoln are close by if you are looking to enjoy the history of Newark Castle, shopping in Nottingham or the cathedral quarter of Lincoln.
Local attractions include Southwell Racecourse, Sherwood Forest, Clumber Park, many good golf Courses and much more. The property is conveniently positioned in the East Midlands, between the A1 and the M1, with good local roads, the property is easily accessible from all angles. With Newark train station on the East coast mainline only a short distance away.

Holiday home was lovely and clean. Beds were comfy unlike most places. Great facilities and nice to have 2 fridges, freezer, oven and oven top.Also great shower and bath facilities. Would definitely go again

A beautiful place to stay! Excellent facilities, nothing is too much for the hosts and the position of the property is both convenient for lots of area, but is quiet and peaceful too.Couldn’t recommend more highly!

A beautiful house with lovely rooms and ability to house our large family including a baby in a cot. We did have to bring our own travel cot, but a highchair was provided which was great.Location is rural but beautiful. This does mean a trip to the local pub/shop is a short drive away, but this didn't bother us. We had lovely days out with the children (8 and 2) at Sundown adventureland and White Post farm were both a short drive away and amazing. We ate at a local pub recommended in the brochure left by the owners and would recommend it too! (The full moon in morton)
