Overall we thought Victory Cottage was lovely, comfortable and in a good location. However we feel that although stated as dog friendly, we feel this is not the case, as the dog was confined to the kitchen only, as all carpeted areas are out of bounds. This is only stated in the proprietors information booklet, there is no description of this in cottages.com initial description, it just states dog friendly. Had we known this prior, we would probably not have booked, we were basically confined to the kitchen for the duration of our stay, also our dog did not settle until nearly time to come home. We think as dog owners this information should be made available on the initial website.

My husband Steve who was brought up in Rutland & I, plus our friends Ivan & Jane thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Victory Cottage. It is well appointed & very cosy. It was a coincidence that the cottage is right next to Cottesmore Church, which is where we got married in 2014. We loved hearing the Church clock & bells ahead of a Sunday service. All in all we loved our stay & would not hesitate to book the cottage again.

A lovely and well appointed house. Everything you need to be comfortable. Good central location for visits outside the area.We were however, disappointed that despite being " dog friendly " our small dog was confined day and night to the kitchen since the remainder of the house was out of bounds.
