This was a last minute booking so we had no expectations on what we would be getting.  We book a lot of lodges with hot tubs every year and like to travel around to different ones.  Driving into this location is super secure with a barrier that you get coded access to on your booking.  There is a little reception with a few groceries / necessities if needed.  The lake is fantastic and there are loads of very tame ducks and swans waddling around, its beautiful. You are given directions and your key code on booking so you just drive in and park outside your lodge.  We stopped in the Wagtail Lodge which is next door to its twin, Cuckoo Lodge.  On entering the lodge you get the wow factor, its decorated to a very high standard with beautiful furniture.  There is a little welcome note waiting with your name on and suggestions on where to eat etc which is a great touch.  Everything is super clean and tastefully decorated.  Going into the master bedroom we found that it had an en-suite with a large walk-in shower in, I thought there was just the over bath shower that I'm not a fan of, so this was a nice surprise. The hot tub is slightly sunken into the patio so is easy to get in and out.  On opening the cover you can smell the cleanliness of the tub and its spotless, its also one of the largest ones we have been in and would easily fit six people.  The hot tub gets checked every morning around 10am.  A super friendly maintenance guy will pop round, give you a quick knock on your window and then go and check on the tub.The location is great and Market Bosworth is a five minute drive away with a cracking fish and chip shop and Tin Tins Chinese - these are a definite must to try!All in all a fantastic stay.  Suggestions to take with you:  A handheld mirror, the lighting in the bathrooms is good but not great for applying make-up.  Take larger towels for the hot tub, the towels supplied are ideal for using the shower etc but for getting in and out of the hot-tub we preferred our huge bath-sheets to wrap around ourselves.  Finally take a little portable radio for some tunes in the hot tub - we didn't want to blast out the radio on the TV due to respecting our neighbours but you can't hear the TV when you are in the hot-tub without it being on loud.To sum it up - try this place, it's an absolute gem!

The lodge was clean and tidy and beautifully presented and had most things you would need in a home away from home. The only issues were the lack of air conditioning or fans in the bedrooms and main living area, during the heatwave and the size of the bath towels, which we ended up buying for ourselves. We would recommend the lodges and would come back again if the opportunity arose again.
