Lack of cleanliness and attention to detail made our stay less pleasant. There was "dirty" written above the kitchen extractor fan illustrating how unclean it was. There was a cremated crumpet in the oven left from previous guests as well as a broken glass in one of the cupboards. This shows lack of cleanliness from the owners. The cottage itself was nice and big enough for a couple to live, lounge and sleep in but if you're looking for privacy don't stay here as the cottage is on the back the owners house (could hear their every move and grumble). Not to mention the owner stated "Keep the noise down in the kitchen past a certain time as my son has 3am starts" - If your guests have to tip toe around you, don't rent the property!The owners themselves were ignorant and rude. They didn't once make the effort to ask us how our stay was in passing and deliberately came round and turnt the hot tub off whilst we were out - even though we requested it stayed on throughout our visit. Not to mention rather then asking us about a takeaway we ordered, turnt away the driver!2/5 rating. The property and location is nice but the lack of cleanliness and privacy is a massive downside. Wouldn't recommend the owners continue their business and its not customer friendly.

The host was very friendly and professional. Attention to detail was excellent. The cottage was adjacent to host property, but was isolated in it's positioning. We were not intruded upon and was only aware of their presence when it was needed.
