This brand new (in 2022) holiday retreat is set on a fruit farm in the Essex countryside. Bramley Cottage is a one-bedroom property which provides fabulous holiday accommodation perfect for a couple looking to get away for a short break or week long stay. The open-plan living space flows through the bi-fold doors to the outdoor patio where you can relax in the evening sun keeping warm by the glowing fire pit. On chillier days, enjoy the warmth of the wood burner in the living space. The double bedroom provides a restful night sleep, then wake up to beautiful views of the fruit farm and countryside beyond from the window. Bramley Cottage is set within a fruit farm where you can pick your own plums in season, or purchase some of the delicious local honey on offer.
Set within the Epping Forest District of Essex, this area provides lots to do and explore, including the steam railway which starts from Chipping Ongar, only 3 miles away, which winds through the beautiful Essex countryside. Bramley Cottage is located in an idyllic, quiet situation on a fruit farm. I must admit I did not find the shower easy to use and the shower room light sensor frustrating. We mentioned this to James the owner at the end of our stay, and he said he could have altered the timing. However, an ordinary light switch would suit me better! The cottage was well equipped and comfortable. Although James said he no longer provided a welcome pack there were plenty of extra items left for guests' enjoyment. It was lovely to watch the activities of the rabbits early in the morning and the stars at night.

What a wonderful cottage in a lovely location amongst the trees of the orchard. It was immaculately clean with everything we needed. The owner even provided a fan which was a boon in the hot temperatures. James was around to sort a few niggles and very friendly and helpful. Our dog loved the secure garden and wandering around the orchard. It was quiet and peaceful and we didn't want to leave. We would recommend this cottage to anyone - one of the best we've stayed in.
