The Cart Lodge is incredibly well equipped and a beautiful property in rural surroundings. We were visited by a kestrel and a buzzard in the early morning which was amazing. Our adult-only group enjoyed all the hot tub, the games barn and the pool table as well as appreciated the very comfortable beds and the fact that each couple had an en-suite. We enjoyed a lovely late lunch at The Anchor on Saturday and a walk along Southend pier on Sunday. We highly recommend this cottage and hope to return soon

The lodge is clean, modern and has everything you need for your stay. Every room has an en-suite, the kitchen has all the necessary equipment you need to cook. The open plan kitchen, dinning room & lounge is amazing. The games barn is fab with darts, giant connect 4 & ping pong & the pool table indoors was a hit too. The hot tub took a bit of getting used to but once we mastered how to fire it up with the wood it was lovely to sit in and look over the open fields. There was even robes & slippers provided to wear. The owners have done an amazing job designing this place. We didn’t want to leave! Catherine is wonderful and at the end of the phone if you have any problems. We will definitely return to Cart Lodge and totally recommend to anyone and everyone.
