Guests say

Curlew offers a wonderful seaside escape with breathtaking estuary views, spacious and comfortable accommodation, and a host of thoughtful touches for families and guests of all ages. The property is exceptionally well-equipped, making it easy to settle in and enjoy your stay. Guests consistently praise the friendly and communicative hosts. While the immediate approach to the property and some aspects of the surrounding area are less appealing, the stunning location and high standard of the house itself more than make up for it.

Multiple reviews mention the property being very clean, modern, and well-presented, with no negative comments about cleanliness.

The property boasts an outstanding waterfront location with mesmerising views and sunsets. However, some guests note the approach through a holiday park and the condition of nearby properties detract slightly from the overall experience.

Guests highlight comfortable beds, spacious rooms, and a relaxing atmosphere. The only caution is for those with limited mobility due to steep steps, but overall comfort is highly rated.

The house is exceptionally well-equipped, with everything from kitchenware to games, beach towels, and water sports equipment. Guests repeatedly mention the extensive amenities and attention to detail.

Reviewers praise the hosts for excellent communication, informative pre-arrival details, and thoughtful touches such as a welcome pack and extra bedding. While gifts like welcome packs are mentioned, please note these are not guaranteed for every stay.

There's lots to like. Very friendly owner who went out of their way to provide information.Breathtaking views.Very clean and well presented. But, due to no fault of their own, the property is becoming increasingly blighted by its immediate surroundings. To get to the car parking, we often had to get out of the car to move rubbish strewn across the very narrow alley, passing by the broken fences and overgrown gardens of the unoccupied, unloved properties nearby. It ended up feeling less luxury and more 'eek'. Lovely locals in the adjoining caravan park etc, to be clear - it was more the practicality and appearance.I'd also add a tip for people whose mobility isn't perfect. The main accommodation is top floor, as you'll know - but the steep concrete steps up to the first floor are very steep indeed, and are not even, and all luggage etc has to be hauled up the two flights and through a gate that fights back. Do make sure you can do this, before booking. We'd recommend the actual property. But the tips above may be helpful for other guests.

Had a great week at Curlew, despite weather being terrible! Extremely well equipped with plenty of space for all the family. View out of this world! Would certainly come again.

Our stay at Curlew was amazing! The owners kept me fully informed of everything we needed to know about the property and the local information. We booked Curlew as it was a big property to accommodate all my family and the views and location were a big plus. There was everything we needed to meet our needs from cooking to entertainment. The bedrooms were a good size and the beds were comfy which isn't always the case.My granddaughter loved getting out on the beach and looking for crabs or playing with all the games that were left out for her. We all enjoyed our weekend staying here and will definitely look at booking again.
