Guests say

Earsdon Cottage receives high praise for its well-equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings, and beautiful decor. Guests appreciate the peaceful location, the thoughtful touches like a welcome note and biscuits, and the well-tended garden. The cottage is noted for its cleanliness and the provision of amenities that exceed expectations, making it a highly recommended stay in the Lakes.

Reviews consistently mention the cottage being very clean and well-maintained, indicating a high standard of cleanliness throughout the property.

The cottage is appreciated for its peaceful and quiet village location, ideal for exploring the Lakes. However, the remote nature and parking considerations slightly affect the score.

Guests find the beds extremely comfortable and the cottage cosy, although a few comments about the sofa being 'tired' suggest a slight deduction in the comfort score.

The property boasts outstanding facilities, including a well-equipped kitchen and luxurious bathroom. Some minor feedback on seating prevents a perfect score.

While guests mention thoughtful touches like welcome notes and biscuits, there is not enough information to determine if such gifts are consistent across all stays, so this score is set to null. It should be noted that while these gestures are appreciated, they are not guaranteed.

Beautiful cottage, has everything you need (more than the listing says so I brought too much stuff - there are towels, a hairdryer, firelighters/matches, dishwasher tablets, dog towels etc there already). Location is great for acces to Keswick and the northern fells. Complimentary litre of milk from the farm next door so don't do what I did and bring too much milk No data service around there so download the what3words location before you get there (unlike me).

I have stayed here twice over the last couple of years for mountain climbing trips. It's always difficult to get a cottage central to your needs, but I don't mind driving when the scenery is so spectacular and the mountain roads are so engaging. The cottage has been refurbished to a high standard. There has certainly been no cost-cutting in the bathroom, with the large Silverdale console sink and roll-top standalone bath. The accommodation provides good value for money and is well above 'average' in terms of cost vs quality vs location. If I were to be hypercritical, I had back pain before my visit, which was only apparent when sitting down. Unfortunately, the settee exacerbated it. Luckily, I was able to use 4 of the cushions to rectify my sitting angle and height. It's not fair to mark down the overall rating and detract from what has been essentially a perfect stay. I'll likely choose this cottage again, subject to availability on future trips, and highly recommend it.

One of the nicest cottages we have been to, very well equipped, comfortable, warm and beautifully furnished. Friendly owner, lovely peaceful location. We had nothing to complain about and will be happy to return.
