Guests generally love the quaint and quirky 11 The Plosh for its perfect location in Keswick, its unique upside-down room layout, and its cosy atmosphere. The property's proximity to local amenities and the added bonus of a shared garden are frequently appreciated. While some guests mention minor cleanliness and comfort issues, the overall experience is positive, with many expressing a desire to return.
The property is described as clean on the surface, but some guests noted dust behind radiators, light fittings, and dog hairs from previous occupants. These are minor issues, and the overall impression remains positive.
The location is consistently praised for being central and convenient, allowing easy access to Keswick's main square, shops, restaurants, and the fells, making it an ideal base for exploring.
The property is generally found to be cosy and comfortable, though one guest found a sofa uncomfortable and another mentioned the property could be quite chilly despite the heating.
Facilities like the Victorian shower and drying room are well-received, but some guests suggested improvements in kitchen stocking and provision of basic supplies. The steep stairs to the gallery beds may not suit everyone.
There are no specific mentions of gifts or extra thoughtful touches provided by the host, so it is not possible to score this category. However, guests appreciated the good communication with the host.

A lovely quirky flat right in the centre in Keswick. On the surface, nice and clean but after dropping something down the back of a radiator, and retrieving the item covered in dust, I discovered that it wasn't that clean! Nice and warm once we figured out to light the gar fire in the living room. It would have been nice to have been given some basic supplies e.g. scissors, salt and pepper, cooking oil, toilet rolls and batteries for the TV remote control. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will return.

Loved this cottage so much. Already love Keswick, and staying in this cottage allowed us to enjoy the town with ease, but I also enjoyed my time in the cottage, especially in the lovely kitchen. A family of 4 and a dog fitted in fine. Perfect location, perfect cottage with so many lovely period and vintage features, I just loved it, thank you.

This is a lovely cottage, which we have visited before, and will probably visit again. The location is excellent, as is the provision of a drying room downstairs - essential in the Lake District. The kitchen could be stocked better, and two small towels per person for a fortnight’s stay (and no change of bedding) seemed minimal. Overall the property was clean, but light fittings were dusty and there were some dog hairs from previous occupants and one of the sofas is particularly uncomfortable. But overall, a positive experience.
