Apple Tree Cottage receives glowing praise for its immaculate cleanliness, cosy atmosphere, and well-equipped interiors. Guests consistently highlight the warm welcome from the hosts, the peaceful village setting, and the proximity to a friendly local pub. The beautiful garden and thoughtful touches add to the charm. While the stairs are noted as steep and parking is on-street, these are minor points in otherwise overwhelmingly positive feedback. The cottage is ideal for exploring Keswick and the Lake District, with many guests eager to return.
Cleanliness is repeatedly described as outstanding, with guests using terms such as 'spotless', 'immaculate', and 'very clean' throughout the reviews. No negative comments were made regarding cleanliness.
The location is highly praised for its peaceful village setting, beautiful surroundings, and easy access to Keswick and local walks. The proximity to a well-regarded pub is frequently mentioned as a bonus. The only minor drawback noted is the lack of on-site parking, though alternatives are available nearby.
Guests consistently describe the cottage as cosy, comfortable, and warm, with comfortable beds and a relaxing atmosphere. The only recurring issue is the steepness of the stairs, which may be challenging for some, but this does not detract significantly from overall comfort.
The cottage is described as very well equipped, modern, and well maintained, with a superb shower and all necessary amenities. The absence of a dishwasher and the steep stairs are the only minor drawbacks mentioned.
Guests frequently mention the generous welcome packs, including local goodies, and the warm, helpful approach of the hosts. While these thoughtful touches are highly appreciated, it should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Lovely little cottage - spotlessly clean and well equipped with a delightful garden and helpful and friendly owners. The village doesn't have a shop so the welcome pack of milk and bread and breakfast items was particularly thoughtful. A short walk (10 mins) to the main road gets you to a bus stop that runs to Keswick one way where you can catch buses all around the Lake District - there is a Booths supermarket at the bus terminus in Keswick. Cottage has book of useful information too. We had a lovely week exploring the local area without using the car.
