Brilliant apartment everything good apart from boiler or imurtion heater comes on every morning at 2am and is very noisy

The flat was conveniently located for central Keswick with all its amenities. The parking was very handy. When I arrived it was cold, so I switched on the heaters. When it warmed up, I turned them off, but being storage heaters they continued to emit heat for another 24 hours or so. By this time the flat was too hot and I was down to a t-shirt for comfort. There seems to be no flexibility to adjust the heating. The boiler came on about 2.20am with a frightening roaring noise. I got up and read the notes about the boiler, which mentioned that the water is heated during the night. This made me a bit less afraid, but I couldn't get to sleep while it was roaring. I avoided using any hot water for the rest of my stay, which was a shame, because I consider a bath a holiday treat, particularly after a long tough walk. Unfortunately the boiler still came on in the night, but for a shorter time. The boiler cupboard is near the bed and the noise is far too loud. My other issue was the over complicated access with an unnecessary key code on the balcony door. Otherwise, generally spacious and comfortable accommodation. With good views and less disturbance than I anticipated from the Co-op next door.

Another great stay at Grisedale View, the apartment is comfortable and has everything you need, is well located adjacent to supermarkets and close to shops, bars and restaurants. With a dedicated parking space on site and being ideally situated in the centre of Keswick, close to the bus station, we literally park the car up once we arrive and don’t use it for the duration. It is a good base for local walks and beyond. Would recommend.
