A deceptively spacious cottage, Hastings has views of Latrigg from the lounge and front double bedroom. It benefits from private parking to the rear of the cottage and has outside seating in its enclosed rear courtyard. With a downstairs shower room with a large walk-in shower while upstairs there is a luxury free standing bath.
Situated in a quiet residential area, the cottage is just ten minutes’ walk from the shores of beautiful Dewentwater, with its lake cruises, rowing boats, Theatre by the Lake and the famous viewpoint of Friars Cragg. It’s also just five minutes’ level walk to Keswick town centre and its wide range of shops, pubs, restaurants and visitor attractions, including the world famous Pencil Museum, Keswick Art Gallery and Museum and the original Alhambra Cinema. Hastings is perfectly situated with a choice of fell top hiking and low level walks available straight from the front door, and is the perfect cottage for a quiet scenic break or for enjoying the wide range of outdoor activities Keswick has to offer.

Lovely cottage and would return, excellent location and has its own private parking, which I managed to fit a Land Rover Discovery into, so not sure about some of the other reviews mentioning how small it was.Only negatives were the rear garden and garden furniture could do with a good clean. Also, the toaster had a note on it informing it was broken when we arrived. The management company were not available when we tried to contact them, however this is not a criticism to the cottage.

Great location with parking space a bonus. Well equipped and comfortable cottage, nicely presented. Definitely will return but will bring my own pillow! (Very solid ones in the house). Loved arriving and then not using the car again till we went home.

Hastings is a lovely property in a great location. We found being able to walk into town a real plus. Although I would recommend the property there is currently extensive building work happening next door that significantly impacted our holiday. There was constant loud noise from 9am - 5pm. We also often couldn’t access the private parking space due to work vehicles blocking the space. I understand that external noise cannot be controlled by the host but I do think guests should be informed so they can decide if it would impact their holiday or not.
