Helvellyn House, as the name implies, was formerly a single dwelling which has latterly been converted into two apartments. This is the ground floor apartment which is an added benefit for guests with walking difficulties.
It is within 5 minutes level walk of Keswick town centre and Fitz Park and has the luxury in Keswick of a private parking space.
The property has been upgraded with replacement double glazed windows in all the rooms, in addition to full Wi-Fi coverage, comfortable leather sofas and a wide screen TV with DVD player and iPod dock.

The ground floor apartment was nice and spacious for the two of us in an excellent position in terms of the town centre amenities. It was a real benefit to have a parking space on the driveway. We felt we couldn't give it top marks as there were a few little niggles. For example the bottom sheet was a smaller size than needed and so tended to come untucked. The plug in the bathroom got stuck in the plughole because it was not a good substitute for the original. The decor of the bathroom would be enhanced if the mastic in the shower was renewed to get rid of the black spots. The extension lead linking the two bedside lamps was so short that when you turned it on one side, it fell off the other side! But apart from this is was a great place to be and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We had a wonderful time, did not want to come home
