A very quiet and extremely well provisioned cottage close to the centre of Keswick. It was a very enjoyable stay.The cottage had three bedrooms, the master ensuite being upstairs. That looks to be a recently refurbished loft conversion. It was very comfortable and quiet but if you are tall beware of the lack of headroom in places. The shower was superb.The other two bedrooms had a double bed and two single beds respectively.I thought the owners were very generous in their provision of utensils and supplies. The cottage felt more like a home than a holiday let. I found the area by the back door great for placing boots and walking stuff. The broadband speed was good.My main suggestion for a simple improvement is to mark the landing stairs more carefully due to the odd layout of going down a step on the first floor. I felt this was somewhat disguised by the striped carpets. This caused me to trip and bruise my hand painfully on a sharp wall edge. I think it just needs a different colour rug in that area or strips marking the edge of two of the steps.Private parking on the narrow road at the back would have been far too tight so I left my car on the street on the front side. That was fine but spaces can get full.It was a short walk into the town centre.Would definitely stay here again.

We had 3 nights in September and were warm and very comfortable. The area is quiet, especially at night. The kitchen is well equipped and 2 bedrooms were ensuite - maybe check that extractor fans are working! Excellent room for muddy boots and waterproofs in the porch. Socks dried overnight on the freestanding electric radiator - with 5 of us this could possibly have been a bit bigger as we didn't want to put the heating on. We had 2 small cars and there was just enough room to squeeze them in at the rear, but other street parking was also available. The top floor in particular seemed to be newly redesigned and decorated to a high spec - a lovely room. We did Catbells and Skiddaw walking directly from the house! There is a useful corner shop nearby, which opened late on Sunday. Thoroughly recommend, although for us a full week might be a bit too costly. We'd happily do the same all over again.

This cottage was amazing. It was lovely and clean and spacious and had everything we needed for a family of 5. The location is perfect for exploring all parts of Keswick. The only thing I would recommend is that the curtains could be updated - they are very thin in the upstairs bedroom, meaning that we had a very early wake up call when the sun began to rise!
