The kitchen comes well-equipped with everything to cater to your culinary needs, as well as a handy dishwasher so serve as a helping hand when it comes up cleaning up. Relish in your home-cooked meals at the formal dining table before popping open a bottle of something fizzy and toasting to a wonderful holiday; this is a great space to enjoy hours of board games brought from home or to pull open the map to plan the next day’s adventure. Afterwards, kick back and relax on the plush sofas, where you can enjoy a film on the TV or get lost within that book that you have been meaning to read.

During balmy afternoon, open up the picture window to discover a large balcony area, where table and chairs offer an alternative option for dining or sitting underneath a canopy of stars with a warming drink in hand. During the daytime, unravel the town’s history by visiting the endearing Pencil Museum, Keswick Museum, the Puzzling Place or hopping on-board one of the regular cruises to visit the National Trust property of Derwent Island House.
