The Rowans is pleasantly situated on a quiet residential estate only a 10 minute walk from the town centre. This two bedroomed, semi-detached bungalow has an enclosed garden to the rear and an open plan garden to rhe side and front, all with views towards Latrigg, Grisedale Pike and Skiddaw. The property is an ideal base for those wishing to explore the Northern Lakes with the convenience of the town a short stroll away.

A very cosy, warm, comfortable and well-equipped cottage in an ideal location for visiting Keswick and walking the neighbouring fells. There was a problem as the cleaning of the bungalow hadn’t been completed prior to our arrival. It is therefore difficult to assess the normal standard of cleanliness. The only drawback from our point of view is that if, like us, you have a very active dog (border collie) who insists on climbing the fells whatever the weather, there isn’t anywhere convenient to wipe him down and take off muddy boots and wet waterproofs. The back door (more like a patio door) leads directly into the back bedroom rather than the kitchen. We were fortunate to have a gap in the rain to dry him off outside. Apart from this, the accommodation is very good.

Cannot fault it. Had a really good time. The bungalow is well cared for. Homely and very welcoming. All utensils available. Close to all amenities and walks. Pet friendly. An enclosed garden for the dog . Would use again and recommend to anyone.

Lovely bungalow, in a quiet location with off road parking for one car. . Very well equipped. Clean and comfortable.. Modern bathroom and kitchen. Could benefit from a new sofa and blinds for the lounge window but apart from that it was perfect.
