Excellent position on the site, overlooking fields and fells, and with a laurel hedge providing screening along one side. Blissfully quiet. The deck is perfect for morning coffee, and safe for toddlers, fenced in, with gate that closes at the top of the steps up to the front door.Easy key safe, let yourself in, greeted by spotless, roomy and comfortable lounge, super little kitchen and very comfy beds - it is possible to lie in the double bed and look up at Skiddaw through the trees.I particularly enjoyed walking five minutes down the road to a bikers' café, American Diner style, called The Filling Station, which served all day breakfasts including pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, plus good coffee.I'm on a low income so it was a splash out for me and I'm so glad I did it, for the peace alone.Thank you to the owners for the nice welcome card, too

we've stayed here a few times, in various lodges, we love burnside park. Whinny Brow absolutely satisfied us, the view form the back of the lodge os Skiddaw and Latrigg is second to none

Well equiped and cosy. The only snag was intermittent tv signal, probably due to site aerial. Apart from that the view from the decking and everything else was good.
