Ellarbeck Cottage is a cosy, rural retreat with friendly owners, offering a peaceful stay with beautiful views and a chance to enjoy local wildlife. It's well-situated for exploring the Lake District and other attractions. The cottage is comfortable and well-equipped, though some guests noted areas for improvement.
Most guests found the cottage to be clean, with only a few remarks about the standard of cleanliness and the condition of some items like bath towels and bathroom carpet, suggesting minor issues rather than widespread problems.
The location is praised for its peacefulness and proximity to the Lake District, with stunning views and wildlife. However, some guests noted it's a bit remote and hard to find, with limited mobile signal.
Guests generally found the cottage comfortable, with a nice garden area for dogs and a cosy atmosphere. There were some comments about old and uncomfortable beds, but these were not the majority.
The cottage is described as well-equipped, especially the kitchen, but there are suggestions for improvements like better frying pans and updating some items. Wi-Fi was noted to be slow, and some furnishings were described as dated.
While guests appreciated the warm welcome and helpfulness of the host, there are no specific mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

Second time at Ellarbeck Cottage. It’s small and a little old fashioned but a cosy, comfortable farm cottage and great value for money. Comfortable beds, effective heating and a lovely wood burner. The kitchen is well equipped and the shower is hot so what more can you ask for? Very friendly owners who did check in with us during the stay.
