Kendal, a charming market town that is renowned as the Southern Gateway to the Lakes, is located on the banks of the River Kent and has a distinguished reputation for shopping. The charming main street is surrounded by charming old cobblestone roads and byways, and the stone ruins of Kendal Castle, which date back to the 12th century, are positioned atop a hill with views of the town. Visit The Abbot Hall Art Gallery, which hosts additional exhibitions thanks to its connections with the Tate and a regular collection that includes portraits by George Romney, a Kendal native, and works by Turner and Ruskin. Nearby are limestone escarpments for easy walking that provide breath-taking views of the Lakeland Mountains, the Howgills, and Morecambe Bay, as well as Sizergh Castle and Levens Hall with its exceptional Topiary Garden.

When we got there the point was only 240 volt and without any compatible charging cables available. We have since looked at other peoples comments and over 6 months ago they had exactly the same issues. This amounts to false advertising. You say that you review properties routinely to ensure they are as advertised but we don't see any evidence of this mission statement.

Overall we had a enjoyable stay but I did find the listing a bit misleading to what we actually found. Similar to other reviews the listing described an Ev charging point which was the main reason I booked the property. In reality there is a 3 pin plug socket in the garage not an actual ev charging point. Also the listing describes Netflix and Prime channels included, In reality you need your own Netflix/Prime accounts to use this option. I also found the bed a bit small for my liking. On a more positive note the property is centrally located and a good base for exploring the Lake district. Personally i wouldn't stay here again.

I didnât need the second bedroom, as the king one was lovely ( even with a faulty blind). However, I think the fact that the downstairs bedroom has a ladder in the middle of the 2 bunk beds, means that it could only really be used by children. Thanks for providing a lovely place though.
