Within easy reach of the coast. Just 20 minutes from Windermere, these holiday properties are set in lovely countryside and ten acres of landscaped grounds, facing south, with wonderful long distance views to the sea, and to the hills beyond. This large country house is set on a wooded knoll and has been skilfully converted into six spacious holiday houses, which are owned by the Caravan Club Ltd and situated on the edge of one of their immaculately kept small touring caravan parks. The house consists of a two storey cottage wing (W42981), a first floor apartment (W42982), a ground floor garden apartment (W42983), two ground floor apartments (W42984 and W42986) and a first floor balcony apartment (W42985).
There’s a lot to see and do in the immediate area. Close by is beautiful Cartmel Priory and the stately homes at Holker Hall, Sizergh Castle and Levens Hall. 3 miles west along the coast is the refined small seaside town of Grange-over-Sands with lots of shops, golf and fishing. The properties make an excellent touring base for the whole of the southern Lake District. Shop 3 miles, pub with food 400 yards.

Booked for my wife's birthday with intent on doing a hike up Old Man of Coniston - the weather made sure that wasn't happening! It is situated about a minute's drive off the dual carriage way, which meant minimal country lanes to contest with - a BIG plus!As we couldn't go hiking, we took a trip to Kendal, about 20 minutes away but there were lots of options within that travel time.The apartment, modern, clean, had everything you needed (apart from a double bed but we pushed the 2 singles together to make a big one :) )Waking up to the sunrise view from the balcony was a massive plus too, even had the cows in a nearby field singing to us at the time.We didn't use the site but the had a few chats with the owners/managers who were super friendly and more than happy to suggest things and places!Would def come back!

The location is good but the apartment is terrible. You get little sleep from slamming fire doors throughout the building, and from the 5.30am bin collection of all the caravan sites' bins.The no smoking policy doesn't apply in the garden, so the balcony and windows were out of use on our visit because of the heavy smokers below us. There was no hot water in the sink taps, and the washing machine leaked all over the floor.Our stay was lovely for the area, but I do not recommend the apartment.

Enjoyable time at a good location. The view from the balcony is great. The open plan space is excellent, thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
