Traditional stone houses, cottages, and barn conversions are clustered around a natural reserve that provides lovely walking trails in an area of pristine countryside with diverse flora and animals. If you're looking for an authentic "Lakeland" experience, Lindale and the nearby towns of Cartmel and Arnside and Grange-over-Sands are both worth a visit, as are the coastal resorts of Arnside and Grange. From this charming village, visitors can easily access Lake Windermere, Bowness-on-Windermere, and Hawkshead, all of which are within easy driving distance.
