Less than 30 minutes to Bowness and Ambleside and handy for Stavely and Kendal. Loads of useful information from owners in advance and on site - thank you! We also got hooked on Othello. The hypnos mattresses are so comfy and the underfloor heating is fab. We thought the cottage was lovely and homely, with everything we needed. We gave direct feedback on some minor issues with bins, condensation and linen that were seasonal and or out of the owners control.they were very helpful with heating when some if us were poorly though. The only downsides to our stay were more due to our illness. It is worth knowing that there are no short walks with the dogs after dusk as limited pavements (to the pub

Used sanitary towels left in the en-suite bathroom which is a bio hazard. Informed the owners but they told us there was nothing they could do. So we had to put up with it which I find unacceptable and therefore cannot recommend. Other items missing off the inventory and the en-suite large shower head does not work. For the amount of money charged they should be able to carry out repairs.

The cottage has been renovated to a high standard and was really cosy . The beds were really comfy . A perfect stay
