About this property

Once one of Kendal's oldest pubs, now converted into a development of lovely flats, Flat 2 Galloway House is a ground-floor apartment set over two levels at the centre of the bustling market town in Cumbria. Lying within the South Lakeland District, you are not far from the glorious Lake District National Park to the west and the Yorkshire Dales National Park to the east, this property would be perfect for avid walkers and those who love the outdoors, but want to be central to lots of amenities. It is considered ground-floor but the property is accessed via a set of steps up, then into the property find the open-plan dining and sitting room, a large corner sofa sits inviting you to recline and put your feet up in front of the wall-mounted TV, or rest at the contemporary dining area with stylish bar stools with a glass of wine. Travel down around five steps from here into the kitchen, where you can make use of the excellent appliances for preparing tasty meals. Further along is the sparkling white bathroom, complete with a shower over bath, while you must continue back through the property to get to the welcoming bedrooms. Both double rooms, they are equipped with gorgeous oak furniture of excellent quality so you have plenty of room to store your belongings. The whole property is furnished to a wonderful degree with pleasant decor. Of course a major plus is that the shops, pubs and restaurants are just a few minutes away, and you are central to the town of Kendal. The town has lots to offer; when it comes to learning of the local history, there are several museums scattered around the centre including Kendal Museum containing natural history collections, the Quaker Tapestry Museum and the Museum of Lakeland Life & Industry, perfect for a rainy day out! When the sun is shining make sure to get out into the open, explore the amazing Lake Windermere, the UKs longest lake and hire a boat to see the wonderful mountains and fells from the water.
