A lengthy refurbishment of the property has resulted in first class accommodation, rather quirky in design with exposed walls and beams contrasting yet complimenting the original church features, the arched windows particularly attractive. The open plan living area creates a very social, comfortable feel on the ground floor, the dining table perfectly placed for enjoying the garden and river aspect. A great location on the river, good parking which is a MUST for Staveley. Wif's cafe for breakfast and the EAgle and Child for a few pints..

Cottage had not been cleaned when we arrived at the cottage and I spent 2 hours trying to communicate with cottages.com to resolve the issue. The complimentary milk sachets were 12 months out of date and curdled in our coffee. The cleaner was very friendly and apologetic when she arrived but the stress for me after a long journey wasn't a good start to a short stay away.

Location was perfect. The house size was also perfect. Privacy and Garden also perfect.The down side was the bathroom,the Kitchen and storage for clothes.The Bathroom needs a complete refurbish,as dose the kitchen. To be honest you could also smell the carpets and rugs downstairs.
