Guests say

2 Fairview Terrace in Ambleside is a well-regarded cottage, praised for its central location, spaciousness, and cleanliness. Guests appreciate the comfortable bedrooms, warm atmosphere, and stunning views. The large garden is noted as a bonus, particularly for families. Some concerns about parking and maintenance are mentioned, but overall, guests are keen to return and recommend the property for a delightful holiday.

The cottage is generally described as clean and well-presented. One review mentioned dirty rags, but this seems to be an isolated incident, not reflective of the overall experience.

The location is highly praised for being central, quiet, and convenient, with easy access to local amenities and walking routes. It is considered one of the property's strongest points.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with warm and cosy bedrooms. However, some mention that it can be chilly at times and that the radiators may be too hot, suggesting room for improvement in temperature control.

Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable living spaces. However, there are comments about the need for more oven trays, a broken extractor fan, and issues with the TV, indicating some maintenance needs.

There are no mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the host, so it is not possible to assess this category.

The cottage is superbly located in Ambleside, short walk down the hill to the town and easy access to the hills for walking. Nicely presented and cleaner had a great time.Only very minor issue is the parking can be challenging but if you know the Lake District it goes with the territory, there is the supplied permit that allows car park access but it is a short walk away.

Bedrooms big and comfortable. Location and views great. House clean and spacious. There is no DVD player and the TV did not work. The radiators were far too hot and dangerous if bare skin accidentally touched them. The house was cold when we arrived. No instructions about central heating but fortunately the system was similar to one I'd used in the past. The car park permit was essential but there was no guide to nearest car park.
