Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, property was exactly as described, had everything needed for the perfect Lake District getaway. Location was really central and we could lazily wonder around Ambleside stumbling in and out of pubs and enjoying the many many walks in the area. Would recommend staying here as we would stay here again ourselves!

A lovely little traditional cottage in the heart of Ambleside. Don't be put off by the parking - the on street is rarely too busy after 6pm or until 12 noon so plenty of time if you're out for the day, or the large car park by the church is perfect short walk away. The kitchen had everything you could need - microwave, oven, decent cutting knives and chopping boards, plenty of cups and even a couple of thermos mugs and a cafetiere. There's a Tesco local just up the road or a coop 5 minutes walk away. The bed was comfortable and the bedrooms are both decent with good storage. It's definitely cosy - but wonderful for it! We would absolutely recommend to friends and family looking for a perfect bolthole in the middle of the lake district.
