Cosy cottage with plenty of room. Parking a little tight but manageable. Excellent showers very powerful

The property was tired and needed some long overdue remedial repairs and general maintenance, it seemed a case of taking the property fees paid and no thought to overall general up keep. Cleanliness needed to be better, lots of months old cobwebs throughout the property.Would not like to think how four people would manage in the property for all it had two bedrooms and advertised for up to 4 people. We have stayed in many rental properties over many years and this ranked as one of the worst I am sad to say, given such a prominent location as Ambleside- or is that the key factor, it will get occupancy so no need to improve- who knows, but we will not be recommending this property to anyone.

The location 5 minutes walk from the centre of Ambleside is a major plus. The cottage is over 3 floors so plenty of space. The bathroom has been upgraded and the shower is very good. Parking at the front is indeed very tight. The lounge would benefit from some tender loving care, but not to the extent that anything there is off-putting. For those who just require a base for a walking holiday this can work well. For those who require a modern, spotless environment this may not be the most suitable option.
