ONLY 1 TOILET ROLL, for a week, no replacement bin bags, Shower was a nightmare to work out how to operate .....Fan in toilet very noisy. Cottage needs a bit of TLC and updating ....Garden area needs a good tidy.... We still enjoyed our stay, out walking etc weather was great.....

Good location for accessing Ambleside and great views from front windows. Decent shower in bathroom & kitchen reasonably stocked. As mentioned by others, getting in and out of drive tricky because of being on a blind corner - best to reverse into drive going in. Cottage itself is quite small - would think any more than 2 adults + 1 child would feel cramped downstairs but was fine for 2 adults. Single glazing and negligible draft proofing of front door and upstairs bedroom window would likely make it cold in winter. Lost a star because of providing a single toilet roll, washing up liquid for ~ 1 day's worth of washing and a tiny kitchen bin with no extra bin liners. Overall good value basic accomodation which could be further improved with easy to implement tweaks.
