Set high above the village of Ambleside and within acres of beautiful Lakeland landscape, Hazel cottage offers unbeatable views of the surrounding fells from every window. On a working farm, your neighbours are of the four legged variety and include a large herd of highland cattle, quite a sight to wake up to in the morning! The accommodation is cosy and comfortable, ideal for a couple and perfectly presented with everything you’ll need for a self-catering break.

The cottage is in a fabulous location with beautiful views. The kitchen is compact but well equipped and the lounge area is comfortable. The downstairs double bedroom is small but well equipped. However, it felt a bit cold and damp. The second single room is tiny. It would be a squeeze with 3 occupants. The listing stated parking for two cars but there is only room for one car and the information folder in the cottage confirms this. Also the entrance to the parking area is through a gate which does not stay open on its own. If you are on your own make sure you have a chord or something to hold the gate open while you drive through.
