Excellent house/cottage, much nicer and cosier than expected. Very well equipped and furnished. Ambleside, which I picked somewhat at random, was absolutely lovely (as was Grasmere nearby), compared with the degraded tourist trap that Windermere has become. Location great, one mile walk to get to Ambleside 'central', and very close to the lake. Only downside would be the lack of any view from the house. Overall a great stay.
