We have being staying here every year for the last 7 years. We’ve never had any issues until this stay. This time the accommodation was worn and tatty. It needs a good refurb and deep clean. The front of the kitchen door for the dishwasher had flaked away across the top quarter so you could see the mdf clear as day behind it. There were stains all over the sofa, not inviting at all. The carpet in the living room was covered in crumbs. We found a piece of chocolate on the floor next to the coffee table, with a dairy intolerant child with us, it was less than ideal and thankful we found it before she did. The shower caulking was mouldy and looked like it could do with replacing. There were coffee stains on the wall in one of the bedrooms as though someone had spilt one and it just never being wiped. There were rust stains on the carpet from the radiator leaking. We’ve always enjoyed each time we’ve stayed but this time has put us off. We’ve looked at other options for next year which is gutting but unless it has a referb and deep clean, it would not be for us.

Everything was great. Washer/dryer was a real plus. Wine chiller was a bit noisy and electric fire didn’t stay on which wasn’t an issue heat wise as it was fully central heated.
