Glendowlin Lodge Retreat is a beautiful lodge, extremely well kept, clean and caters for all my needs and more. The facilites are to a high standard and certainly made me feel home from home. It is in a perfect location with amazing views all around, so quiet and peaceful with no passing traffic. The property has a beautiful garden which is fully enclosed so that my dog could enjoy his holiday as well, and the local wildlife (Rabbits, Birds, Sheep, Horses) are a pleasure to watch throughout the relaxing days.Plenty of places to visit locally, (Penrith, Pooley Bridge, Ullswater) however we stayed mostly at the lodge and enjoyed the short local walks.

A lovely lodge in a lovely location. We had a very relaxed and cosy stay. The lodge is well equipped, clean and well maintained. The surrounding grounds are safe and enclosed, our 5 year old loved being able to play out safely. It was also lovely waking up to the baby lambs in the next field and bunnies hopping around. Would definitely recommend to anyone and would love to stay again.

Lovely Lodge…….everything you could hope for. Peaceful and great views. The garden space is really good especially for four legged friends. A credit to the owners. Would recommend and will visit again
