This is a lovely detached stone cottage in rural Cumbria. It is within a short drive of Penrith , lots of amenities are available to you there. The house location was perfect for exploring the Ullswater, Keswick and Buttermere areas. There are fell walks right from the doorstep and beautiful views from the large extension of the house. The house is well equipped, has a washing machine and has plenty of space to park. We spent most of our time reading or walking. The Ullswater steamer provides a nice trip out across the water, and Greystoke Castle (of Tarzan fame) is a short drive away.Remember to take towels, as these are not provided.,

This is a beautiful cottage, ideally situated for exploring the Lakes. Approx 5 miles from Keswick and Penrith which have supermarkets and activities for rainy days, 10 minutes from Ullswater and 30 minutes from Windermere. The cottage is really well equipped and has everything you could need for a relaxed week away - very well equipped kitchen (not a few old pots and pans, which has made it tough to cook properly on previous holidays), really beautifully decorated with TV, DVDs, music player and great wi-fi. Plus wonderful log burners which were a great bonus on the rainy days, although not needed as the cottage also has Hive controlled central heating.Would absolutely go back again and would recommend without hesitation.Thank you for a wonderful break and first visit to the Lake District!

We had a very restful and enjoyable stay in this lovely house, ideally suited to a family group. Beautiful setting, with walks from the door. Easy parking and location. Very comfortable living areas, and a well stocked kitchen. We would certainly recommend and hope to return in the future.
