Guests say

Lucy's Lodge offers a cosy and peaceful base for couples exploring the Lake District, with many guests praising its location, comfortable bed, and relaxing hot tub. The lodge is well-equipped for self-catering and provides a warm, inviting atmosphere. While some areas, particularly the bathroom and kitchen, could benefit from refurbishment and deeper cleaning, most guests enjoyed their stay and appreciated the beautiful surroundings. The hot tub and WiFi are highlights, though a few maintenance and cleanliness issues were noted. Overall, the lodge provides a charming retreat with great access to local attractions.

Several guests found the lodge clean and tidy, especially the bedroom and living areas, but others reported issues such as a dirty fridge, worn carpets, and a grimy bathroom. The hot tub's cleanliness was inconsistent, with some guests finding it spotless and others experiencing problems. Overall, cleanliness is average but could be improved with more attention to detail.

The location is frequently praised for its proximity to Keswick, Penrith, and the Lake District's scenic attractions. Guests enjoyed the peaceful setting and stunning views, though a few noted some road noise and the need for a car due to the lodge's rural position. Overall, the location is a major highlight.

Guests generally found the lodge warm, cosy, and comfortable, with a good bed and inviting atmosphere. However, steep and narrow stairs, low bedroom ceilings, and some worn furnishings were mentioned as drawbacks. The hot tub added to the comfort for most visitors.

The lodge is well-equipped with a kitchen, WiFi, and a hot tub, but several guests reported maintenance issues such as broken shower doors, missing fridge shelves, and tired furnishings. The hot tub was a highlight for many, though its upkeep was inconsistent. Facilities are functional but would benefit from refurbishment.

There were no mentions of welcome gifts or extra thoughtful touches in the reviews, so a score cannot be provided for this category.

Lucy's Lodge was a lovely and comfortable. The shower is great plenty of hot water but you have to watch as the water doesn't run away very quickly and we discovered the the trough on the fridge door was none existent. Obviously broken off previously. The stairs to the upstairs are very steep and narrow although this was stated in the description. We had a lovely few days here a much needed break. Enjoyed the hot tub and relaxing time in this lovely Lodge. We would go back again.

The lodge was in a nice location the bedroom was a challenge of the 2 of us in the lodge 1 of us is 4ft 10 and had to still watch my head the stairs were very steep and narrow in the kitchen the blinds had watermarks there was no tin opener no baking tray the fridge small and the part were you would store the milk missing/ broken. When I talk about head height I could touch the bedroom floor from the ground floor the settee and carpet could do with a good clean no where to put muddy boots apart from outside where I found a cupboard with 2 cushions for the table and chairs but they had been chewed by mice presumably hot tub ok but do with a little more panelling to make more private as when people sat on seating next to steps could look over to hot tub Hot water in abundance being in the area where the lodge is situated i can't understand why have carpet when hard flooring would be better

Lovely couple of days Great location, perfect for 2 people, full working kitchen with washing machine. A fence is infront of the hottub for privacy which is great but also blocks a lovely view of the near by mountains, not sure how this could be fixed but it just seems a waste
