Guests say

The Lodge in Penrith is highly praised for its comfort, cleanliness, and prime location for exploring the Lake District. Guests appreciate the secure garden for pets, the cosy atmosphere with log burners, and the proximity to local amenities including a welcoming pub. Despite some minor issues, the overall experience is deemed exceptional with many looking forward to returning.

Guests consistently describe The Lodge as spotless and immaculately clean, contributing to a comfortable and welcoming stay. One mention of a vacuum cleaner not fully picking up dog hairs suggests a slight room for improvement.

The Lodge is celebrated for its quiet village setting, ideal for relaxation and as a base for exploring the Northern Lakes. Its proximity to local amenities, including a friendly pub and scenic walks, is highly valued by guests.

Numerous reviews highlight the comfortable furnishings and cosy log burners, creating a relaxing environment. However, one guest mentioned the lodge being cold in places, indicating a potential area for enhancement.

The Lodge is well-equipped with a large kitchen, pleasant conservatory, and secure patio. Guests mention the convenience of the facilities, although a few small items like a measuring jug and champagne flutes were missed, and one mention of a vacuum cleaner not being fully effective.

Guests are touched by the welcome pack including treats and wine, showing the owners' thoughtfulness. It is noted, however, that such gifts, while appreciated, may vary and are not guaranteed with every stay.

It was extremely clean, warm and had everything you need for the perfect stay. The welcome pack was a very thoughtful touch. There are lots of leaflets and books to help you explore the Northern Lakes, and a trip to the coast for some sea air and history. The village is small but plenty of walks and the pub does amazing home cooked food. Interesting to see the horses from the local stables coming through the village on a daily basis. We would highly recommend and will definitely be returning again in the near future
