Just spent a week in this cottage, lovely place to stay, clean, comfortable with everything we needed, hopefully we will be able to come back next year

We recently stayed in this lovely upstairs one-bedroom flat in Lowick Bridge and really enjoyed our stay. The converted stone barn is full of character, with old beams, period features, wonky floors and a cosy log burner that made it feel very homely and unique. The decor is a little dated in places (think 80s/90s style), but everything was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Although the property is fairly close to the road, it was quiet at night and we werent disturbed by traffic noise. Its also dog friendly, with some nice on-lead walks straight from the door. The location is great for exploring the Lake District, especially around the Coniston and Windermere areas. An added bonus is that the pub is literally next door, making it very convenient after a day out exploring. The decor there is also a little dated, but it serves simple pub grub, has friendly staff, good beer and a small courtyard at the back. Overall, a comfortable base to explore the Lakes!

Hosts friendly and helpful. Accommodation comfortable and clean, some attention needed i.e shower and bath tap both leaking, bath badly water stained. There is an open garden but we were asked NOT TO USE FOR THE DOG, but to take it across the main road to a small grass verge. The information on cottages.com said enclosed garden???? this spoiled our holiday slightly as the dog had to be walked either on a verge on a main road or a mile along a road to a bridle path. Please amend information regarding dog friendly garden.
