We had a lovely stay at The Burrow Cottage, quiet and peaceful and beautiful surroundings. The cottage had everything we needed and it was very clean. The bed was so comfortable I don't think I slept that well for ages. The garden is fully enclosed, great for our dog, she loved every minute of the stay too. There is a lovely paddock at the back of the property but just a pity this wasn't fully enclosed too, the hedges were open near the road side and with our dog being only young at 10 months we couldn't take the risk of letting her off the lead, had there been fencing or a wall it would have been an ideal spot to practice retrieving, but a curious cocker spaniel would have been through the hedges no bother. I would say the shower head could do with being replaced and a little mould on the tiles around the bath. That is the only negative I could find. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 day break away and would definitely return, it was great value for money and the welcome pack of goodies and dog treats was greatly appreciated. The local pub served gorgeous food and well worth a visit, we travelled into town and visited Bourness, Windermere, Kendal and really enjoyed seeing the bikes travelling through for Dave's Day heading for Barrow. The weather was glorious we were very lucky

Excellent value, comfy cottage in a good location. Very dog friendly. Quite near a fairly busy road but easy access to Windermere, walks & surrounding area. Would stay again.
