With a charter granted in 1262, the traditional Cumbrian market town of Wigton still holds a market each Tuesday in the covered market hall. This lovely town is a popular centre for shopping, pubs and restaurants, as well as for other activities such as theatre, bowls, swimming, tennis and other sports. ' There was room for improvement with the cleanliness. For instance there was a tampon and some socks under drawers in a bedroom, loose change under the table in the lounge, plus a number of cobwebs.

The hot tub with amazing views was fantastic. We would like to thank the owners for being extremely accommodating when we needed to change our dates due to a sudden bereavement.

There was plenty of space for the five adults and four children in our party. The facilities were great, well appointed and comfortable. The location was very peaceful with wonderful countryside views out the back. It was nice and close to Bowness, which is right on Lake Windermere and near to many amazing Lake District attractions. The only slight issues were the lack of a safe walking route into Bowness, itâs fine for adults but we didnât want to walk with the children. Also, the hot tub is amazing but you canât see the view when youâre sat in it! These are minor gripes, we had a wonderful time and have already recommended to friends and family!
